"A real treasure-trove for anyone in search of good ideas for transforming a place for sleeping into a personal sanctuary." -- San Diego Union-Tribune, Feb 22, 004
"More about beds than the entire room" according to puppy's gal. There is lots of inspiration to be found in this book in terms of various styles. Unfortunately beyond that I was dissapointed. Although many styles are present the focus of the book and photos is primarily on the bed itself as opposed to the bedroom suite as a whole entity. Yes there are some photos of those things but only to a minimal degree. It is mostly the bed and nighttable. Where are the sitting areas, the nooks and corners, a small reading chair and lamp? I was looking more for how to setup the entire master suite. However if you need style inspiration this is a good sou. A Customer said a plethora of bedrooms. I never really thought about the history of the bed or how to choose a mattress, but the author covers it thoroughly as she shows photo after photo of an amazing variety of bedrooms. The rooms really are different; there are many inspired by other parts of the world. Plus there is a step-by-step how to section on making bed curtains, covers, and canopies.. "Bedrooms" according to Amazon Customer. Nice book. Teriffic photos and lots of ideas that I am actually using. The book is pretty enough to leave layed out in the bedroom too.
