Containing only breif decriptive captions, this is not the book for you if you are interested in the literary asspect of design research! However, if you are a visual learner, as I am, what this book lacks in words, it more than makes up for in pictures. I had a h. "What about Chicago?" according to vb. There are a lot of great photos of lofts in here. I'm a little surprised that out of 600 pages, there was not a single photo of loft from Chicago. After New York, Chicago is known for its many old industrial buildings and heavy timber loft conversions. It's like the photographer purposely avoided Chicago. Also the book is small size-wise.
