DESCRIPTION:

A reminder of the essentials This book is inspiring, you melt away while reading it, wishing to just take her place. It also makes you realize of all we don't really need and how beautifull nature truely is. The accomplishment of this woman is amazing. Her journey is beautifull. I honestly cannot find other words to describe it other thn bearth taking.. Marlene Stein said Loved this book!. "Cabin of Singing River" was a page turner.I couldn't wait to read it each night before going to sleep. I loved the author's stories about how she built her cabin and what she had to go through to learn how to use a chainsaw. I admire her very much. A very enjoyable and well written book telling true stories about what Chris Czajkowski had to deal with living the lifestyle she chose in the British Columbia woods. I also enjoyed stories about her dogs and the wilderness animals.. To live there Chris is on par with Helen Hoover and Murie when it comes to nature living and writing. The only contemporary authors that compare are Cheryl Strayed, and Daniel J. Rice with his novel THIS SIDE OF A WILDERNESS. The best thing about all these books is that they take me to the forest, not as a passenger, but a participant. Between this book and the novel by Rice, I have decided to retire in a cabin in the woods - and these books will always be with me!
