The first is a general overview of brick masonry around the world and across the ages. As such, it is interesting, although hardly comprehensive. The second is a detailed discussion of the trade. I found this to be most helpful as it provided a relatively thorough understanding of the materials and processes involved in creating brick masonry. For anyone in the trade or anyone with an interest in the glories of brick masonry I highly recom. Brick in two parts misterbeets Part one by one author traces the history of brick construction, as an art historian.
