Wyman makes a good argument to take the long way in Northern California As a long-time resident living in Northern California and a photographer, I've found that David Wyman's book not only served as a guide but as an insight into the history of the routes he describes. It's given me a deeper appreciation of the richness of our our area's cultural heritage that I've not found or heard of anywhere else. I've either driven or pedaled along some of the routes before reading the book but did so again with eyes more widely open and re.
