DESCRIPTION:
This book was done just because. I was completely enthralled as each month's book arrived and placed me in the midst of important events such as the Normandy invasion, Thomas Edison s lab, etc. About the Author When I was 7 or 8 years old my mother enrolled me in the You Are There Book Club. Written by Mark Gillespie who worked for Yenko back in the heyday of the Muscle Car era. From its humble beginnings in the small industrial city of Canonsburg, PA, this book tells the story of the small, family-owned Yenko Chevrolet dealership responsible for creating the most prized cars of the Muscle-Car era and resulted in creator Don Yenko's cult following. Packed full of great information including invoices, factory info, pricing, etc. 8-1/2 x 11, Softbound, 168 pages.
Great Book,First of its kind On Just Yenko. Jose Lopez I love this book, Its a Softcover, and small.and costly. But. Its the only one thus far on the Great Don Yenko. Several Documents are in the book, BW and Color. DX Corvette in there with Garner,Some Sunray Dx Mention. Nothing Major. But alot on the Corvairs(Stingers), Nova, Etc. and the operation. Sadly, This Genius is no longer with us. Book is Self-Published, But A Great Book, Lots of info, and Look. Excellent Read for Trivia Buffs Very cool book for anyone who is a Yenko buff!! I never get tired of picking it up and reading through it. Every time I do pick it up I find something new and interesting that I hadn't seen before.. The Legend by Bob McClurg is a far superior book to read for anyone interested in the man Not worth the money. The entire book is just printed invoices with the Yenko name. Yenko: The Man, The Machines, The Legend by Bob McClurg is a far superior book to read for anyone interested in the man and his cars !!!!
Just because we could. Mark Gillespie . When I was 7 or 8 years old my mother enrolled me in the You Are There Book Club. I became acquainted with Donna Mae Mims, Jim Spencer and many others, not realizing until later that they were nationally renowned. Everyone was friendly and outgoing, especially Warren Dernoshek in the performance shop, who didn't mind answering my questions and working around me. I suspect they were too closely i
