Excellent book for beginners! I'm taking a Linux Admin class at a Technical School. The instructor has used this book for a few years and said he sticks with this text because he hasn't found a better one. I can see why. The author has managed to introduce complex topics early but not in depth. And then, when he goes into detail later, a lot of the ground work has been laid. This technique helps make the book readable and more concise. The books seems complete, it reads well, and it's well indexed.
