The photographs that the author has assembled cover not only the most famous yachts of the North Shore, but also their owners and mansions. Robert's familiarity with vintage yachts is evident in his very informative text and captions. I really enjoyed this book and I will share it with my I grew up in this part of Long Island and remember my father telling stories about some of these yachts. It was so interesting to see actual pictures and read about that period of time . I really enjoyed this book and I will share it with my granddaughter when she is a little older.
