Ok, had great potential Michael Good yet very basic intro on what to buy in starting out with welding, as long as you are buying Miller. I'm guessing the author is a subsidized sales rep for Miller for how often Miller is mentioned. The welding techniques are good, but I didn't find them to be offroad specific. The Mig and Tig information is intertwined as opposed to being in seperate chapters.As someone else mentioned, it was completely lacking in fabrication information which should. rnp said ad for miller welding equipment. Not sure if it is for beginners or advanced welders. Let's cut the crapDetailed description on equipment selection for beginners. But on the practical side it is rushed with giving instruction on which direction to weld and to tack a lot. No practical advise on actual welding technique.. ooooops! RevBob1999 This is my fault. I just wanted to learn to weld better, not learn to weld to fabricate race cars. I guess if that is your desire, Mr. Heard's book would give you some sound advise. Otherwise, I'd skip this book if you just wanted to learn to weld better. Ho hum.
