"Lacking on the Small Things" according to dsm90awd. Seems pretty thorough with the major components but lacking on the small things (Instruments, hardware, bilge) that a novice DIY-er would take on theirself. I'm basing this on my expectations having used numerous Automotive Haynes/Chilton's/Shop Service manuals over the years.. "A good repair manual for your boat" according to S. Blakley. I bought this repair manual mainly because I needed a wiring diagram for my boat so that I could do some diagnostics and repair. I didn't expect to get a repair manual that was as good as this one is. It is readable and contains very good diagnostic and component testing information.Most aftermarket repair manuals aren't worth the paper they are printed on. THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT. I have owned name brand shop manuals that weren't as well written as . Great Manual Ordered this manual since it's been so hard to find a mechanic to take a look at the boat. Within a few minutes, it paid for itself 10 times over. First problem diagnosed was a relay. I did look on the Volvo website to try to order it.
