Very Detailed I haven't gone on my big trans-Siberian trip yet but have started planning. This book is very detailed it is very helpful in planning. It contains information about all of the different routes, hotel info in each city, advice for buying tickets, etc. I read a review before I bought it about how the old version was better so I was nervous to buy this one. Now that I received it, I'm glad that I bought the new version because times and prices are more up to date. I haven't seen the old version but this one is as helpful as I expected/wanted it to be.. This is a must have book to plan the trans-Siberian journey. I am planning to take my daughter on the trans-Siberian railway from Beijing to Moscow. At first planning the trip seemed one big mystery unless I gave thousands of dollars to travel agents who would arrange everything and provide an escort, neither of which I was interested in. After reading Thomas' excellent book I understood everything that I needed to know about arranging the trip, where the best stop overs were, and how much it will all cost. In short, this is a must have book for all who are planning or even just interested in traveling on this world famous train and getting the maximum enjoyment o
