DESCRIPTION:

Few know what joy it is to feel the roses pressing softly into the hand, or the beautiful motion of the lilies as they sway in the morning breeze. Sometimes I caught an insect in the flower I was plucking, and I felt the faint noise of a pair of wings rubbed together in a sudden terror. Helen Keller would not be bound by conditions. Written in his disarming, conversational style, and full of refreshingly relevant views on capital punishment, civil liberties, and the judicial system, Darrow's autobiography is a fitting final summation of a remarkable life.. In The Story of My Life recounts, and reflects on, his more than fifty years as a corporate, labor, and criminal lawyer, including the most celebrated and notorious cases of his day: establishing the legal right of a union to strike in the Woodworkers' Conspiracy Case; exposing, on behalf of the United Mine Workers, the shocking conditions in the mines and the widespread use of chil

Very good BAGS The Story of My Life is written while Helen Keller is in her second year at Radcliff, so it's really a story of how she became educated, not a story of her whole life. It was very interesting how she came to understand that words exist, or that things have words associated with them. Also very interesting that she has memories of things before she even had words for them. It's explaned in the book that she wants to act as "normal" as possible, so that's why she describes things in color, or describes what she "saw," even though she doe. THE STORY OF MY LIFE BY HELEN KELLER A MUST READ THE STORY OF MY LIFE BY HELEN KELLER is an interesting book that shows how this BRIGHT GIRL learned to over come her blindness and deafness. Every School child should have this read to them to show that if you try, you and succeed.. "Interesting" according to Barbara Trongone. I liked hearing how she viewed herself because usually what is written about Helen is by others.
