Wow! What a powerful read. One Inquirer From page one I felt I was right there with Kevin and Brian. I didn't expect the book to have as many light moments as it did, and for those, I was so grateful because the heartbreak of the story would have been too much to bear without Fisher-Paulson's wit.To those who think that gays have all the rights that everybody else has in the United States, I say read this book.I would not have been able to tell this story as I would have just ranted and raved through a couple hundred pages about injustice and prejudice. But this book is not angry. It is the story of an American family, that should be . Read. This. Book Freykel Kevin Thaddeus Fisher-Paulson and his husband Brian lived through a fantastic, magical, emotionally crushing year as the foster parents of infant triplets with numerous medical issues. Kevin presents the story set against the background of his life growing up in an Irish family, his love for Brian, family and close friends (including all the Aunts and Uncles), and the immense difficulty and blessing of three babies in their lives. With his wry humor and gut-wrenching honesty, Kevin brings the reader into the year-long experience with him and Brian, through nights at hospitals, operations, bottle. Heather Cooper said Beautiful and touching book. I read this book in one night. I could only put it down long enough to call friends and family to encourage them to read it. I loved every moment I was able to be inside this family's blue bungalow. An important reminder that Family comes in many shapes and colors. Now I must run to hug my kids!

In fact it was in duplicate with a third kid in the hospital, across the bay. “After a week of not sleeping, Papa and I got into the routine of baby care: feed the baby, burp the baby, change the baby, put the baby to bed, wash baby’s clothes, rinse out baby’s bottle, and make more formula, just about in time to start feeding the baby. I often found that I was still in my bathrobe at three o’clock in the afternoon. San Francisco author Kevin Fisher-Paulson tells this riveting story with grace, dignity, and a surprisingly generous dose of humor. This
