An outstanding and absorbing book about working as a law enforcement officer in the Santa Cruz Mountains Open Space District. People come to public lands for all sorts of reasons, to hike, to see wildlife, and sometimes to abuse the land--that's where the Rangers come in with their mission to protect both land and users.
