DESCRIPTION:
Conceived by Colin Chapman, the Lotus 72 is one of the most successful Formula 1 cars ever made. Here, in this new Haynes Manual, is a unique perspective on what it takes to restore, maintain and race a Lotus 72, as well as an insight into the design and engineering of this legendary racing car.. This innovative car – with its wedge-shaped profile, side-mounted radiators and inboard front brakes – was driven during 1970 by Jochen Rindt, Formula 1’s posthumous World Champion, and also gave Emerson Fittipaldi the World Champion's crown in 1972

Not a manual, but a great read I wasn't looking for a book on how to make or work on a Lotus 72, I bought this book because I was interested in learning about the basic mechanical aspects of a vintage F1 car. This book did an excellent job of that, plus I learned so much about the history of the vehicle and its long racing career, and even what the various drivers thought of the car itself. It also shows what it takes to actually own one and prep it for vintage racing, and that was very interesting. I d. Chris Moran said Because it's a Haynes book, doesn't mean it's a manual. Haynes Lotus 72 manual Rick The book is for Lotus aficianados of formula one racing. It has some interesting asides and nice pictures, but is not detailed enough to be a "manual". I enjoyed the book and will re-read and view the pictures many times to come.
