Bruggemann, Jr. This book is an excellent learning tool for new boiler/plant operators. It gives a basic understanding of most aspects of Plant operation. Unfortunately, the generalized nature of the book doesn't lend itself to answer specific questions an inexperienced yet knowledgeable person might have. My point is, this book can give you an overview of everything you need to learn about operating a steam plant, but it won't be enough to prepare you for a tough licensing exam.
