A lot of resources went into the writing as evidenced by the extensive bibliography at the end. The work is verbose and may not be right for younger or more casual readers depending on their reading level. I took notes in order to fully digest the reading and found that it boosted my acumen. The author focuses both on Gifford Pinchot's successful political career and also on his work with establishing forestry in the United States.
