This is yet another book that is excellent for anyone who has never seen large mining machinery and does not wish to be overwhelmed with technical information. The color pictures are great and give one an idea of how really big these trucks can be. However, much of the info is outdated as many of the trucks nowadays are much larger. In addition, not all of the manufactures out there are represented---where . small book on big machines this book is a delight to read - and look, 'cause there is loads of excellent color photography. Tells some about technology, manufacturers and operators. Best way to get started on the subject, but the pictures are even good enough for the initiated. Excellent value for money..
