DESCRIPTION:
Reference ok, but not a good textbook. James.Rohde It is a good reference manual, it' s not a good textbook. There are hardly any examples, no answers to check your work and no handy conversions. Do you remember how many gallons are in a cubic meter? do you remember that a cSt-10^-6 m^2/s? Do you rmember that 1P=0.1 Ns/m^2? They are either difficult to find or not in the book at all. (those two are hidden on pages 16 and 17.)

Work with hydraulic fluids, pumps, gauges, and cylindersDesign transmission lines using the lumped parameter modelMinimize power losses due to friction, leakage, and line resistanceConstruct and operate accumulators, pressure switches, and filtersDevelop mathematical models of electrohydraulic servosystemsConvert hydraulic power into mechanical energy using actuatorsPrecisely control load displacement using HSAs and control valvesApply fluid systems techniques to pneumatic power systems . Fluid Power Engineering presents a comprehensive approach to hydraulic systems engineering with a solid grounding in hydrodynamic theory. You will also learn how to build low-loss transmission lines, analyze system performance, and optimize efficiency. The book explains how to create accurate mathematical models, select and assemble components, and integrate powerful servo valves and actuators. Develop high-performance hydraulic and pneumatic power systems
