DESCRIPTION:
Great Pictures, No Info Alchymistická The pictures in this book are stunning, and I love the range of artists included. The reason this gets three stars from me is that it is missing something I consider very important in an art book. There is no information about the pieces pictured. No dimensions, no lists of materials or information about construction techniques, and worst of all, no titles! In many cases, I can't even tell what an object is (brooch? ring? small sculpture?). This does a disservice to the artists and a disservice to those of us reading who are also artists and want to know more abou. "True to its title." according to Is Elegant. This book has a statement from each artist and great photos of their works. New jewelry I haven't seen by several artists who's work I know of. To see an artists thoughts, ideas created with non traditional materials used in jewelry, is interesting. There is some gold and silver used, but this book is true to its title.. Three Stars Expected better product
