"Very useful reference source for historian, wargamer, etc." according to Writing Historian. I just received this book the other day. I was going to buy both of the books in the "A Reference Source" series, but figured that I should just get one and see how well it was written and researched. I am not a Luftwaffe enthusiast per se, but I am a professional historian. I was impressed by the breadth of the references used in this book and was very glad . Cannot wait to read the second volume Just finished reading about this air arm of the german airforce and was quiet impressed by the formation and the many areas of operation that each unit served in during WW2. The first volume covers the begining of many units and the operation of the stuka dive bomber. The many aircraft destroyed was also interesting. After reading I cannot wait to get the sec. Gustavo said Five Stars. This book is excellent and met the expectations I had of him. I recommend it for fans of the history of the Luftwaffe.
