E. Jones said Lukewarm Filibuster - totally numbing. This book reads like the longest, most boring Christmas form letter you can imagine. It has little to do with espionage and is mainly a tedious recounting of innumerable prosaic details from the author's not-so-remarkable past. This rambling recollection of mundane personal minutia includes detailed descriptions of travel arrangements made, tourists spots visited, restaurants patronized, meals eaten and souvenirs purchased, but not a heck of a lot else. Characters other than the author herself are mentioned sparingly, and not developed.. Not exactly what I expected BAK I was anticipating a book about the author's intelligence experiences. I was disappointed that the author focused at times on her family life and her dogsOh, well. Amazon Customer said Too Many Days. AFTER MANY DAYS by Shirley Perry started off with an interesting story, albeit a little slow. It kept moving slower and slower, repeating way too much detail and too many exact phrases to keep my interest. I finished the book mainly because I am stubborn and always hope for a good endingwhich never came. I realize this is a non-fiction memoir but keeping the flow moving would help tremendously. The author's descriptions of people and places were done well enough to be able to picture the event or person in my minds eye, but the story line just couldn't carry the descriptions.
