Each of these two has her own wounds, and it takes the two of them working together to alleviate the pains they live with. In reading this book, I learned about doctors going and filling in when a hospital has a temporary vacancy; the details of living with a prosthesis; great programs by the VA; etc. It really is a good read. I felt very proud of the characters.. Amazon Customer said I recommend this as a stand alone ir as part of. Already read this one three times. The interaction between Dale & Logan is intense & angsty at times. It's not, however, desperate and drawn out. There are some laugh out loud moments. Heartbreaking reveals. And courage to do what one must. I recommend this as a stand alone ir as part of the series.. Great book Alex 724 I enjoyed the series , very much . You find yourself rooting for love , to conquer past disappointments and tragedies. Look forward for Ms. Nolan next book .
