"Idaho by Air" according to Roger D. Launius. There are few more significant areas of historical study for twentieth century America than the development of aviation. For residents of the western part of the United States aviation was an especially significant engine of change, owing to the unique combination of open spaces, relatively small numbers of population, distances between urban areas, and, a pioneering spirit."Winqs Over Idaho" is a useful large-forma. A little about a little, but disappointing with this title! I give the book only four stars because it is not really a history of aviation in Idaho; this book is really about the history of aviation in the Boise region of Idaho and how that may or may not influenced other portions of the state aeronautically. If it really was about the aeronautical history of the whole state, at very least, the names of all the important airports in the state would surely have been mentioned
