A Very Enjoyable Story of one Woman's Career with Pan-Am I enjoyed Betty Riegel's story very much. She was one of the twenty British women chosen from a group of one thousand to be among the first airline stewardesses for Pan-Am. In the fifties airline travel was in its heyday and was very glamorous and luxurious--quite different from our packed flights today when we'd be quite surprised if the flight attendant wanted to stop and chat. Pan Am as it was katyop I liked this book particularly since I was born and raised about 5 miles from the author and also became a Pan Am Air Hostess at about the same time, so her reminiscences were very close to my own, of this incredible airline.
