Not only are the photographs works of art themselves, so are the words flowing the pen of author Hemphill. Thoroughly researched, taking what could be dry history and turning it not only into a page-turner, but also feast for the eyes.. Boxcar Bob said Interesting. Any one with an interest in the Union Pacific will find It hard to put this book down. The book is well written and the photos are great. There hasn't been a lot written on the Salt Lake Route and this author give a great account of this part of the railroad. I bought this book some time ago and just had to read it again-It's that interesting.
