I was heartbroken for her when she wrote to tell of her disease, and heartbroken for myself when I learned she had died. So I would have bought this book purely to experience her grace and wisdom one last time.Upon reading it, I knew that this book has a far wider appeal than to those of us who knew and loved her. This book has a far wider appeal than to those who suffer from ALS, or any terminal illness. Because this. Like life itself, harrowing, challenging and uplifting. When I think of the physical challenge that must have presented for Rev. Durant to write this book in the final days of her struggle with ALS, I am reminded of what a crucial message she had to share. Every single person on this planet will face their own mortality. None of us like that , but it is an immutable truth. This wonderful woman has given shared a gifted insight on how best to approach that journey.
