DESCRIPTION:
A book as beautiful as its photogenic subjects Inquiring Mind The lustrous photographs of 30 glamorous women are accompanied by short but rich interviews in which Starr obtains revelations about internal and external beauty, aging, exercize and diet, family, vices, flaws, and much more. The exquisite photos, shimmering pages, and trenchant text are laid out in an inviting format that makes you feel instantly joyful (if not beautiful) just browsing through them over and over. A perfect tonic for a down day.. stunning makeup, beautiful photography, original interviews, and tons of celebs! What an amazing collection of beautiful photographs! Some of the best I have seen, and all in one book just fantastic. The makeup is stunning, the interviews are original and very enjoyable, and the how-to section features great, achievable looks for any woman (the Bardot is my favorite). I may be biased, since many of the book's featured women are among my favorite celebrities, but I think anyone who loves makeup, photography, or celebs will love this book!
A separate how-to section provides readers with step-by-step instructions on how they can use Starr's techniques to achieve the featured looks for themselves. It is the first book to show that using makeup successfully not only creates outer transformation, but that it can also reflect the beauty of a woman's spirit. A foreword by Linda Wells, editor in chief of Allure, completes the book.. The women speak candidly about their views on beauty and makeup; the dazzling photographs reveal how Starr's technique brings out his subjects' inner beauty; and comments from Starr explain how each look was created. Paul Starr on Women and Beauty pairs original and revealing interviews with stunning photographs of Starr's makeup on thirty of today's most distinctive sirens. Starr's subjects-including Cameron Diaz, Iman, Jennifer Garner, Diane Lane, Salma Hayek, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Renée Zellweger-represent varied ages, ethnicities, and professions. Paul Starr on Women and Beauty will set a new standard for books on beauty
