"It wasn't Me" according to Glenda. This book gave me the strength I have needed for years.I thought for years I was the problem.Reading this book I now know their is a name and it is a real problem.The person with this problem has to want to change and seek help or nothing will ever change for the better.Anyone who is married to a person with Intimacy Anorexia I totally sympathize with you.I have lived with someone for 16 years with this problem and I now know it is never going to change for us.I could go on and on about this book, point being if you are Married and Alone get this book .I could have been Douglas Weiss's study and hit on. "If You Already Know, Not for You" according to AL1. While I appreciate some of the content this book offers, 70% of it is quotes from other people who are in an intimacy anorexic marriage. If you doubt whether you are experiencing intimacy anorexia (the withholding of physical, emotional, or spiritual love from your spouse) then this is a good book to start with. If you already know the problem, this book offers little in the way of help.The primary exercise is The If You Already Know, Not for You While I appreciate some of the content this book offers, 70% of it is quotes from other people who are in an intimacy anorexic marriage. It was good to read, within the book, that there are others out there [both men and women] who are going through the same thing. Currently, I am on Chapter 10 which gives you "options" to choose from and the results of each choice. The author [Dr Weiss] did a good job on walking you through what you and others are experiencing.
