Very straightforward This book is an excellent introduction to the practical aspects of landscape design. After every chapter, the student can find an extensive bibliography for further study or reference. All concepts are clearly explained, especially spatial perception and projects. If you are looking for a one-in-all book, this is it. However, do not expect it to say much about the history of landscape design. This is a practical book only, but first quality!!!. PHD (Piled Higher and Deeper) The authors peers and superiors may find this text exemplary, but the average undergraduate student looking for an introductory textbook will find it written in an alien language. There are so many $100.00 words included in complex, compound sentences which run 22 lines in the book that it seems to take an hour to translate each page.I am sure the author is a very intelligent man, but he is very ignorant when it comes to communicating with the intended audience. Does he conduct classes in the same way? Have pity on your students. Learn to. Know how Hoshiar Nooraddin I bought this book three days ago and used all my time reading it. I feel the writer has used very good effort to show the important issues for landscape design. I believe that a student can get easy and good understanding of the different topics of landscape architecture. Yet, I believe the author has several reputation that he could avoid and cover some issues with better information such as art, rules, and social life.
