I was a pack a day smoker for over 20 years when I found a class offered by Patricia Allison back in 1991. It Works My sister sent me this book after doing one of the authors programs. I was a smoker for 25 years and quit 2 years ago after reading this book. No slip ups either. In the past I had tried patches, gum, acupuncture, hypnosis - nothing worked. After reading this book I finally understood I had an addiction, not a bad habit. Finally understanding that I was an addict and following the steps in this book led me to the success of being smoke free. I am so glad my sister sent me this book. I can't thank her and the author of this book enough. They had the easy part though - I had to live through the temporary discomfort :)
