The section on the Convair airliners was very short, but maybe that is to be expected since there not not many of that type made. Overall, this book is quite good. If you love the DC-8, 707, and 880, then you will be pleased, but y ou might be disappointed to discover that most of the photographs are from the 1980s and 1990s, during the twilight of these airliners when they mostly carried freight. There are very few aircraft in the liveries of their original owners/operators. The text itself of the book (neither the photos nor the photo captions) is rather sketchy, with only one page per plane, and the data tables for various variants (g. Great airliner book for the fan of the old birds A Customer Wonderful pictures and very informative text. Breaks down the first 3 U.S. built airliners in great detail along with list of crashes. A must have for any airliner enthusiast
