Included are all airlines that began passenger operations with jet aircraft between the signing of the Airline Deregulation Act [of 1978] and January 1, 1990, and which have disappeare. From some of the most well known start-upsAir Florida, Midway, People Express to some of the most unknown carriers, it covers it all. If you like studying the airlines now, you should get this book about the ones who made todays airlines what they are, through merger or through competition! It is a great book.. I found this book very fascinating. Not only does it have pictures of past airlines, but a short history on each. Heck, even Total Air/Air America is in there!
