The book has some interesting points, and is relatively recent. I particularly liked the mistakes chapter. It calls into question the current wisdom of getting lots of quotes from lots of dealers. I think it is important to get a few quotes, but some books recommend more than six, which seems excessive. On the flip side, I dont think the book does enough to explore the invoice and how dealer incentives work to often reduce the. Carleigh said : NO

Working as a salesperson on the dealership floor, he started to learn first-hand how the glamour and the reality were often in opposition. Gordon Wright pioneered a New Way to Buy a Car in the way he conducted business in the showroom and online. A car dealership looked like the perfect place to bring those elements together. This Consumer Awareness Guide will help you navigate the “mine field’ and actually turn the tables so you end up enjoying the process. Just finished reading a promo copy of this book on my kindle. No filler! Just meat. All really great stuff. Gordon Wright, the author, says something like people love cars but hate shopping for them. It's pretty easy to see why after reading. So many fees to consider, people trying to rip you off. The only thing I would have liked to see is more about America. A lot of the book seems to focus on buying a car in Canada.. Gord is such a nice guy Andrea White I went to see Gord at 401 dixie mazda about a new car and he gave me a promo copy of his book. That's what a good guy he is. he was willing to give me a book that tells me how to get better deal on a new car. Anyway, I didn't end up buying a Mazda, but Gord was really helpful and his book was awesome. Definitely used some tips he gave me when I did buy somewhere else
